Emotional Regulation:
This unit includes teaching students to understand their feelings and emotions and to teach strategies for controlling negative feelings. Students are encouraged to recognize the physiological impact that emotions have on the body and to learn how to regulate them with breathing, visualization and positive self talk. Anger and stress management are a major focus of this lesson. Testing anxiety, which tends to happen prior to EOG testing is also covered in this unit. This unit is taught in March/April.
